Trustee Recruitment opportunity
These roles are integral to the ongoing success of Brandon Centre as we aim to support even more young people in Camden and Islington. If you are looking for a Trustee position in one of the key disciplines below, we would love to welcome you to the Board.
Fundraising Trustee. Ref: FT/BC
We’re looking for a Trustee with a business development, fundraising and communications background and with a sound understanding and substantial experience of charity fundraising at both strategic and operational levels.
The Fundraising Trustee will provide overall Trustee leadership and drive for our fundraising, events, marketing, and communications, and will be supported very closely by the Chair of the Business Development and Fundraising Committee, CEO, Head of Finance, and our Business Development Manager.
Main purpose of the role
To ensure Brandon Centre is in the best possible position to develop and deliver our fundraising, marketing, and communications by providing strategic guidance and support in the following areas:
- maintaining strong relationships with existing donors and supporters
- progressing new grant sources and fundraising opportunities
- developing and monitoring a fundraising plan aligned with budget requirements
- submitting and monitoring fundraising progress reports and evaluation requirements in accordance with the Fundraising Policy
The Fundraising Trustee will also:
- be an active member and support the work of the Business Development and Fundraising Committee
- maintain knowledge of current fundraising procedures and legislation affecting activities within the charitable sector
- be a member of Brandon Centre’s Board of Trustees
Specific duties
1. To develop and implement a system to increase income:
- provide regular information to Trustees and the Brandon Centre Board’s Fundraising Committee about funding possibilities and opportunities
- work with the Trustees, Fundraising Committee, and other members of the Brandon Centre Board to create clear and realistic targets
- provide information and support for grant applications and subsequent monitoring and evaluation reporting
- support the promotion of Gift Aid reclaims amongst fundraisers for the Brandon Centre Board
2. To contribute to fundraising events:
- support and attend new and existing events when required
- work with the Fundraising Committee and supporting organisations to develop new fundraising events
- a commitment to supporting Brandon Centre to increase our income through a calendar of fundraising events and business development
Skills & experience required
We are interested in meeting applicants with most or all of the following:
- experience in charitable fundraising environments and knowledge of fundraising ‘best practices’
- experience in prioritising and working to deadlines
- good communication skills (verbal and written)
- a commitment to supporting the aims of the Brandon Centre Board
- sound, independent judgement
- a proactive approach with the ability to think creatively
- an understanding and acceptance of the legal duties, responsibilities and liabilities of trusteeship
- the ability to work effectively both independently and as part of the Board of Trustees
- passion for supporting transformational change for young people
- lived experience of the challenges that affect young people’s mental health and wellbeing

Senior Assistant Psychologist – Phase 2 SIT Therapist
Salary: £30,137 a year pro rata
Part-time: Flexible working
Fixed term: 12 months
Job summary
Join Brandon Centre as a Senior Assistant Psychologist in our Systemic Integrative Treatment (SIT) service, delivering community-based family work with parents and carers of children aged 8 to 16 who are experiencing moderate to severe behavioural difficulties alongside emotional and relational needs.
You will work creatively and collaboratively within a social-ecological model, helping families build on their strengths, address barriers to change, and sustain progress made in Phase 1 of SIT. The role involves working primarily across the systems around the young person, including family, school, peers and community, using approaches such as pragmatic family therapies, behavioural therapy and CBT.
This is an exciting opportunity for a motivated, resilient and thoughtful practitioner who wants to make a meaningful difference to families at a vulnerable point in their lives. You will join a supportive multidisciplinary team and receive full training in the SIT model, alongside regular supervision, reflective practice and continuing professional development.

We’re looking for a reliable and conscientious cleaner to help maintain a welcoming, safe, and hygienic environment.
You’ll play a vital role in creating a clean and comfortable space that enhances the experience of both staff and service users helping to ensure our building is a place that mirrors our values of compassion, inclusion and respect.
Our outgoing cleaner has been with us for many years and takes pride in the high standards they’ve upheld. We are now looking for someone equally trustworthy and detail-oriented to take on this important role.
The role would particularly suit a local resident from Camden or Islington borough who is able to travel to and from our building in the evening times for their shift, after our normal opening hours.
We have four, two-hour shifts available each week Monday – Friday. Our current requirement is that the building is cleaned Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Friday.

Community Psychologist / Psychotherapist – Girls’ Project

This is an exciting opportunity to deliver psychologically informed support in trusted youth settings, working alongside partner organisations to improve emotional wellbeing, increase access to mental health support, and strengthen resilience for girls facing multiple disadvantage.
You will provide group-based and 1:1 psychological support, offer consultation to youth workers, and help create safe, accessible spaces where girls can explore issues affecting their lives and wellbeing.

Senior Psychologist or Psychotherapist – PIE Consultation and Training
Salary: £54,499 pa pro rata

Job summary
We are seeking a Senior Clinical or Counselling Psychologist, Child and Adolescent Psychotherapist, or Adult Psychotherapist to support young peoples’ hostels in Islington through the development of Psychologically Informed Environments (PIE).
This is an exciting opportunity to work creatively and systemically with staff teams supporting young people aged 16 to 25, including care leavers, young people experiencing homelessness, and those who were previously unaccompanied asylum-seeking children.
The role focuses on consultation, reflective practice, training and service support, helping staff to feel more confident in understanding and responding to complex emotional, relational and mental health needs.
You will contribute specialist psychological thinking without holding direct clinical responsibility for residents, supporting staff and services to develop trauma-informed, attachment-informed and culturally responsive practice. You will also help strengthen approaches to risk, formulation, referral pathways, and joined-up working with partner agencies.
This role would suit a Clinician with experience of working with young people, and a strong interest in consultation, training, service development and psychologically informed practice in community settings.
