We have partnered with Arsenal in the Community to support young people’s mental health and emotional wellbeing in Islington. Our goal is to offer accessible mental health support in familiar and trusted environments, making it easier for young people to seek the help they need.

As part of our partnership, you might spot our projects featured in Arsenal’s match day programmes, helping raise awareness about mental health support available to young people in our community!

Counselling and Psychotherapy

Arsenal in the Community has teamed up with Brandon Centre to provide a counselling and psychotherapy service for 16 to 25-year-olds with emotional and mental health problems who are attending an Arsenal in the Community programme.

The service is available on Thursdays at the Arsenal Hub.

To find out more about the service the young person can speak to their programme lead or contact Geoffrey Baruch on 07791 261 711 or email geoffreybaruch@brandoncentre.org.uk

Girls’ Kicks

This innovative project offers emotional wellbeing support to girls (aged 11 -18) attending Arsenal’s Girls’ Kicks football sessions.

These sessions are delivered by a Chartered Sport and Exercise Psychologist, who works directly with the girls, helping them develop emotional awareness, communication skills, and resilience both on and off the pitch.

We have created a specialist sports psychology model integrated into football practice, helping girls enhance their growth as athletes and as individuals. This includes effective communication, emotional awareness, mindfulness, and developing a growth mindset.
