We could win up to £1500 to give more young people in Camden free access to vital counselling sessions.

We support over 1500 young people each year but the need for counselling has increased significantly since the pandemic.

If we win the grant, we’ll be able to help 35 more 16-24 year old people and reduce waiting times.

We’ve been delivering adolescent mental health services for over 50 years and are a well-respected and trusted source of support for many young people in our local community.

Our Georgian house in the heart of Kentish town offers a welcoming and safe space for young people to seek support for a range of mental health challenges including anxiety, depression, life transitions, relationship and friendship problems, LGBTQIA+ challenges, and bullying.

It’s vital work. Adolescence and young adulthood are critical ages for recognising the first signs of potential adult mental illness. Early intervention during these years can significantly reduce the chances of young people suffering from mental illness throughout their adult lives.

In July 2021, one in six children aged five to 16 were identified as having a probable mental health problem, a huge increase from one in nine in 2017. That’s five children in every classroom (NHS, 2021).

By voting for Brandon Centre, our local community can give more young people free access to critical counselling sessions.
